It’s no surprise that boating is one of the most popular activities at Caesar Creek Lake. With five boat ramps around the lake — four of which are free — and no horsepower limit, boaters are lured by the idea of wind in their hair and lake spray on their faces. Take your
canoe, kayak, powerboat, sailboat, or personal watercraft out for a spin and enjoy the shores green with trees, pull a water skier behind you, or drop anchor to enjoy an afternoon float. And for the most dedicated boaters, Caesar Creek Lake offers a designated boat camping area north of Wellman Meadows Boat Ramp, allowing you to sleep on your boat.
The lake’s depth provides ideal environments for a number of fish and fodder for many anglers’ fantasies. Cast in a line and wait for largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, Kentucky spotted bass, white bass, bluegill, crappie, channel catfish, flathead catfish, and saugeye and muskellunge that are stocked annually. For younger fishermen, Caesar Creek Young Angler’s Pond is the ideal location, exclusively reserved for children 16 and under. But don’t forget to first get your Ohio’s Fishing License, as fishing in either location is illegal without it.
For those who want to get their feet wet, a 1200 foot public beach calls out for you to visit. Offering a concession stand, public restrooms, and picnicking facilities, the beach is a perfect location to spend the day building sand castles, working on your tan, and taking a cooling dip in the sparkling waters before grabbing a bite
to eat.
Much to the delight of hikers, birdwatchers, and animal watchers, Caesar Creek State Park offers 43 miles of trails and outdoor excitement. Observe area wildlife, enjoy creeks snaking through the woods, and take advantage of a few hours of peace and quiet.
